Singer Fresh Daddy, born Paul Mutabaazi has said that he is just a musician, with no plans of battling with veteran MC Kats despite their recent encounter.

Recently, the nbs After5 show host, MC Kats got into a verbal war with Fresh Daddy and his manager Kalifah Aganaga after Kats refused to play Fresh Daddy’s debut song ‘Mazike.’

This particular encounter happened at Wave Lounge, a Kololo based night hangout, where the 50-year-old ‘new kid on block’ had gone to premier his song. To their dismay and embarrassment, Kats threw them out, claiming that ‘his fake song will destroy the music industry.’

But during an interview with Spark TV on Thursday, Fresh Daddy claiming that he doesn’t care if Kats plays his music or not, but he personally has no problem with his decision.

‘I don’t want to talk much about Kats because I just do music and those who distribute it are different people. So I can’t start fights with him. I actually don’t have much to say about Kats. If he plays my music or not, well and good, I just do what I do and if all goes well, I will just thank God for that,” he said.

Fresh Daddy also revealed how his ‘hit’ song has landed him constant night gigs but he will not return his seven-year-old rapper son, Fresh Kid to his mother.

“Fresh Kid will not be returned to his mother. First, most musicians are parents but music has never made them bad parents. I always have many gigs at night but I don’t live alone at home,” the former manicurist says. “I have several people that can take care of the kid when am away, I can’t turn down money when they call me for a performance.”
