Weasel Manizo, the remaining half of Goodlyfe has released a new song dubbed ‘Until Yo Ready’ in which he features the late singer Radio Mowzey.
Weasel recently received a warning from CID over Radio’s music. This after Radio’s mother Mary Kisubo accused him for leaking, releasing and selling of his son’s music without her knowledge. Weasel however denied these allegations.
And of late, Weasel has been struggling with his solo music career, till he surprised social media by releasing his latest project.
‘Until Yo Ready’ is a reggae love song produced under Angel Music, and it surely brings back the ‘Goodlyfe music’ feeling of 10 years back. In the song, Radio sings ‘I will wait for your love until you ready, I will wait for your love with patience until you are ready’, as Weasel does the backing as usual.
During an interview with a local radio on Monday, Weasel claimed that he had no choice but to release ‘Until Yo Ready’ project, because he doesn’t know how its un-mastered version leaked on the internet. And to stop it spreading, he chose to release the original version.
On releasing this song on social media over the weekend, Weasel claimed that ‘Until Yo Ready’ was to be released just after their 10 years music celebration in 2017, but they decided to put the project on a hold.
“This song was supposed to be released just after our 10 years of RAW celebration. However, somehow, somewhere we decided not to release it until we are ready. Radio’s legacy will always be pushed to the spotlight, regardless of my new Music. Brothers for life.
Former Goodlyfe manager Chagga noted that Radio’s music was leaked by someone who has access to Radio’s phone.
“I can’t release the songs of a legend like that because it’s too disrespectful, but Radio had most of his songs on his phone which is currently available, every song he recorded, including demos and unfinished songs, he would always keep them on his phone, someone with his phone has access to Radio’s music,” Chagga said during an interview with Spark TV recently.
However, Weasel also denied knowing anything about Radio’s phone.
