Fresh Kid’s father finally accepts defeat, allows son to travel to Dubai without him

Fresh Kid’s father Paul Mutabaazi has finally given in to pressure and accepted his seven-year-old son to travel to Dubai without him.

Mutabaazi had on Tuesday advised Dj Rahm, the Promoter handling Fresh Kid’s Dubai show to cancel it, if he couldn’t afford to pay for an extra ticket.

Possibly, given the pressure and criticism he received from the public after his statement, during an interview with Spark TV on Wednesday, Mutabaazi accepted to let his son travel without him.

“I have decide to trust manager Francis Kamoga with my son, I appreciate Mr Pius Bigirimana for allowing me to let my son travel with his manager, and on that day, I will gladly escort them to the airport,” he said.

Mutabaazi alleged that his intentions are not out of selfishness, but he signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which stated that Patrick Senyonjo aka Fresh Kid has to travel with a parent everywhere since he is still a minor.

“Being that my son had become a big star, Ministry of Gender came in and drafted rules that we had to follow while handing Fresh Kid, being that he is a minor, the MoU suggested that he has to travel with a parent, but I think the manager didn’t explain that part well to the promoter, thus creating this scandal,” he said.

The rapper will be performing at the Cultural exchange event on July 7 in Dubai, before heading to Abu Dhabi for an extra show on July 8.
