Vivienne Chebet Mbuga has expressed her disappointment in Allah after spending Eid Ul fitr without her husband.
Through her social media platform, Chebet claimed that she prayed so hard to spend Eid with jailed socialite Suleiman Kabangala alias SK Mbuga, but God failed to grant her wish.
“I wished and prayed that you would be with me on this day but Allah never granted it. I won’t question why but thank him for giving us life. Happy Eid Mubarak my dear husband” she posted.
Chebet recently shared a video on her social media pages, of Mbuga jubilating in what many thought he had received the freedom he has been longing for.
In the video, Mbuga looked extremely excited as he moved around a room that looked to be a prison warden’s office. A voice, we assumed was that of a warden, or maybe a lawyer, or even another convicted felon assured him that ‘it’s ok now, they will be happy’.
But despite the hopes she received that her husband might be out soon, the socialite is still held behind bars in Denmark.
Mbuga was arrested in 2018 and put in Al Awiir Central Prison in Dubai for allegedly defrauding a business man of Shs937 million through a fake gold deal.
The pencil sized socialite was later this year extradited to Denmark to answer allegations of obtaining money under false pretence in another fake gold deal.
Mbuga is also wanted by the Swedish government for allegedly fraudulent transfer of Kronor 53, about Shs23 billion from an account his wife Chebet was running with her former Swedish boyfriend Sten Heinsoo.
