Ear studs on men. That is not new. Men have for years rocked trendy ear jewelry. But most start off in their early years.
According to research, some women believe that a man who wears an earring feels confident in his masculinity
“Men’s earrings are a symbol of courage and confidence,” several women interviewed said.
The trend has now been taken up by 60-year-old men including tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia.
The businessman, who recently returned from a trip in Nepal, was seen spotting a diamond number on his left ear lobe.
Offered as a gift from his Nepalese hosts, Ruparelia could not help but show off the stylish ear ring when we bumped into him at Speke Apartments, one of his several properties.
“I had my ear pinned when I was offered this ear ring. And I am keeping it although my son Rajiv says it seems like I have hit mid-life crisis,” he joked.
Ruparelia refused to put a price to the pin, saying some gifts are just priceless.
Now you know. When you see an older man wearing an earring, do not be surprised. They are back in style.
