Tanzanian Bongo flava star Diamond Platnumz has finally revealed why his wedding with Kenyan girlfriend was postponed to a yet unidentified date.

Diamond and Tanasha Donna Oketch, a model and radio personality were supposed to walk down the aisle on Valentine’s Day but the plans were cut short under unclear circumstances.

However, in an interview with mtanzania.co.tz at the weekend, the Kwangwaru hit singer said the big day was pushed forward because his lover’s mother could not secure leave on the original day.

“The reason why we had to change the date is because Tanasha’s mother will be working on Valentine’s Day. I do not want a small wedding. If it is possible I would like the government to consider it a public holiday,” he said.

“I expect the likes of Rick Ross, among other high-profile entertainment figures, to be in attendance.”

Diamond and Tanasha have been in a relationship since November last year.

The singer is also an ex-husband to Ugandan-South Africa based socialite Zari Hassan. They have two children together.
