Police has again blocked Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine’s music show which is supposed to take place today at his One Love Beach Busabala.
Police personnel last night deployed and cordoned off the beach saying the show is not supposed to take place citing clearance issues.
Police Spokesperson Emilian Kayima earlier today said, “I don’t think the concert will happen unless it was cleared this morning. We shall be at Busabala beach to disperse revelers because we shall be protecting them,”
On the other hand, Bebe Cool’s Kiwatule show is ready to take off after getting police clearance a month ago. A few days ago, Bebe’s concert was also endorsed by President Yoweri Museveni who always refers to him as ‘My Son’.
Appearing on one of the local TV stations on Wednesday morning, self-proclaimed Big Size was asked what he feels when fellow musicians are being blocked from performing.
He said an artiste should always follow police guidelines if he or she wants their shows to stand.
“I’m an artiste, I do as I’m told. If Police says not to do something, I follow the rules. Kiwatule has nothing to do with whether I support NRM or not, I’m past that issue. About the yellow cap, this is just Bebe Cool expressing himself as a Ugandan and not a politician. Kiwatule is one of the best places and the safest, people are assured of the best entertainment,” said the ‘nsilikamu’ singer.
