Police have revealed why they beat up singer Spice Diana during the Kampala Capital City Carnival.
Spice Diana was severely beaten by police officers on Sunday night and she was rushed to a nearby health facility while nursing wounds.
She accused police of being disrespectful and ruthless citing that she was beaten for no good reason.
However, according to Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, Emillian Kayima, Spice Diana and her manager assaulted a Police officer on duty after they were refused access to the City carnival.
Kayima said Spice Diana fought the Police and was later arrested at the Nkrumah Police post.
“We released her on Police bond. The file is ready for prosecution,” he said.
