Naiya K Ruparelia on Thursday donated gift hampers to 240 kids at Mulago children ward.
Handing over the donation, Ms Naiya, one of the trustees of Ruparelia Foundation said the gesture is part of their core principles at the foundation and that reaching out to the needy in such circumstances is a way of bringing a smile to the faces of the children who are going through a tough time with their health.
“They are very strong children, it’s amazing and some are really strongly fighting for their lives. We admire their strength and hope that they get well soon. We will do this quarterly but we hope to eventually have it become a monthly activity with sponsorships from more people” Naiya asserted.
Naiya also noted that the foundation has been carrying out this activity quarterly but hopes to do it monthly once they get more donations from their partners such that they are able to visit different hospitals across the country.
Ruparelia Foundation has for the past eight years worked together with several people to champion positive change in different communities throughout Uganda.
