Bebe Cool: Why do you want me to feel sorry for Bobi Wine?

Bebe Cool also said that Bobi Wine needed this kind of scenario, to cause a scene so that Ugandans can talk about him.

Musician Bebe Cool has said he has no reason to support fellow artiste Bobi Wine because his nemesis has never done the same for him.

Bebe Cool, who was appearing on Capital Gang on Saturday also said as a personal friend and ‘son’ of the President, also said as long as Bobi Wine is still a musician and not an MP, he will continue playing ‘his games.’

Bebe was responding to questions about his recently concluded Tugende e’kiwatule show held on Boxing Day.

On the same day, Bobi Wine’s show at One Love Beach, Busabala, was stopped by the police on grounds that the artiste did not get clearance from police.

Earlier, the police also blocked his Kyarenga concert that was meant to happen at the Mandela national stadium.

“The only thing I know how to do is sing. So when I was pelted with bottles during the Swangz AllStar Concert, Bobi Wine did not come out to say ‘oh my fans do not do that anymore’. He was quiet,” Bebe said. “The music fraternity and association was also silent when police threw me off stage.”

When he was pinned further, on why he went ahead with his presidential endorsed show, instead of standing by Bobi Wine, the Kamwako singer said “Why would you want me to feel sorry for Bobi Wine if he cannot do the same me?”

“Bobi Wine is not special. I got my clearance letters about a month ago. I was not even in the country.”

Bebe Cool also said that Bobi Wine needed this kind of scenario, to cause a scene so that Ugandans can talk about him.

Security Minister Gen. Elly Tumwine said Bobi's shows will continue to be blocked

“He never even spent any money in adverts, so what was his intention?”

Earlier, Security minister Elly Tumwine had said security would continue blocking Bobi Wine’s shows as long as he continues with his ‘defiance’ attitude.

“The duty lies with police to ascertain if Bobi Wine has met the requirements. And that if police says he hasn’t met the requirements, then it is highly likely that he hasn’t because at the moment he is the only artiste being blocked.”
