While the holy month of Ramadan is still ongoing many companies have come out to give back to their Muslim customers, Stanbic Bank has also this week hosted its Muslim customers to a dinner to break their fast at hotel Africana.

While at the dinner, Moses Mbubi the head of human capital in stanbic Bank said that fasting is one of the five pillars of Islam, Stanbic Bank was privileged and honored to be able to give back to its Muslim customers in form of interaction and a meal during this holy month.

“Ramadan is a period of great sacrifice, repent, discipline and reflection to all Muslims worldwide,” Mbubi said.

Mbubi also re-assured their Muslim customers that as they came together to break the fast, Stanbic bank will continue to support their businesses, helping them to succeed.

“The passing out of the 2015 FIA Amendment bill which among other things makes provisions for Islamic and Agency banking is going to increase financial services to Ugandan Muslims and also bring banking services closer to everyone,” Mbubi added.

The Stanbic Ramadan dinner prayers where led by Mufti Sheik Muhammed Kibaate, many other high profile Muslim leaders, Chief Executive of Stanbic bank Patrick Mweheire and other members of his executive committee also attended the dinner.
