National Water and Sewage Cooperation highlights strategic plan of delivering safe water

UWSC has highlighted its strategic plan to deliver safe water in Uganda at the ministry of Information and communication technology building , parliamentary avenue in Kampala where they gave out their accountability and information about coming projects.

Dr. Eng Silver Mugisha the Managing Director of NWSC said that they are aiming at providing clean water to 250 towns in Uganda by 2018.

“We have invested shs 10 billion in water works project to improve livelihood of the people in Kapeka and the surrounding areas.” Eng mugisha said.

Adding that whether private or government schools they all pay the same water rates.

Frank Tumwebaze, the cabinet Minister of Information Technology and Communication thanked UWSC for coming out to talk to the country at the Government Citizen Interaction Center Uganda( GCIC).
” NWSC is doing well and this kind of accountability benefits Ugandans and the government of Uganda to invest more money in your projects.” Hon Tumwebaze said.
