The Ministry of Trade, Industry and cooperatives has launched ‘Buy Uganda build Uganda’ campaign that will make Ugandans fall in love with their locally manufactured goods as well as to promote them.
Trade Minister, Amelia Kyambadde said Uganda spends more than shs10 trillion on the goods imported and of which some of the goods are also made in Uganda.
‘Buy Uganda build Uganda’ program is designed to help Uganda’s manufacturers to have the strongest market in their country.
She advised the people of Uganda to buy, use and promote their goods and also create market out side Uganda.
