Banker arrested for allegedly forging MUBS transcript

Makerere University Police have arrested a former United Bank of Africa staff for allegedly forging an academic transcript of Makerere University Business School( MUBS).

Godfrey Kasibante who worked as a Risk officer at UBA,  was arrested by police after being hinted on by Makerere University academic registrar, Alfred Masikye Namoah.

Kasibante was detained shortly, recorded a statement and released on bond as investigations take head.

The whole saga went out of hand for the suspect when UBA asked staff to submit their full academic papers for clarification of employment. As a result,the bank authorities took Kasibante’s transcript to Makerere University for verification but to their utter shock, his registration number was no where to be traced.

The University decided to file a case of forgery and impersonation at the University police umder file case SD 12/27/01/17.
