It was a wedding like no other. A classic bridal package, top gear monster vehicles, high end dressing, decoration, ambience, entertainment, name it.
I have not seen anything like it as Steve and Ritah walked down the aisle, with admiring family and friends.
Prophet Samuel Kakande of Mulago based Synagogue Church of All Nations Ku Bbiri blessed the couple to live happily thereafter, while Pastor Woyera Jimmy witnessed the exchange of the nuptials.
The reception at Speke Resort Hotel Munyonyo on the shores of Lake Victoria was cozy and classy. Simply awesome.
MCs Patriko Mujuuka and Abbey Mukiibi made sure the guests were well taken care of, and of course, entertained in the best way possible.
A truly African tune by Annet Nandujja and her Planets troupe gave the guests in Uganda for the first time, something incredible. Its cultural fusion, and unmatched dance moves and drum beats, will forever remain in the minds of the guests as Ritah and Steve became one. There was also the Magic Horn Band to entertain the sophisticated music lovers.
Ritah’s parents Edith & Andrew Tebyasa were visibly happy to witness this day when their daughter was professing her love for the man of her dreams.
The bride was also gleefully happy for the presence of Nalongo Joyce of Bulenga known as “mummy”.
“She guided me and was there for me in my adult life. She is more than a mother to me,” Ritah confessed.
The other guests who honoured Steve and Ritah’s day were Ambassador to Turkey HE Kalule Kasujja, Buganda Kingdom’s Owekitiibwa Kabuza Mukasa, Kyadondo East MP Hon Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, Mityana Municipality MP Hon Francis Zaake. Former Mayor of Kampala, Sarah Nkonge, Mayor of Kasangati Tonny Sempebwa, J. J Sesanga Edward and many others were in attendance.
Steve’s family including Rosemary Miller, elder sister, Adam Dutton, Ben Miller and Willow Miller were in town to witness their brother’s wedding and meet their new family in Uganda.
From Bermuda was Elizabeth Mugoya, and Ronnie Birungi.
And yes, the bride Ritah was dressed by RK Bridals in New York, her entourage were dressed by former Miss Uganda Monica Kansiime while the groom Steve and his team were dressed by Men’s Wear in New York.
Cake was done by Temptation, Sheraton hotel Kampala, Decoration by Flex Impression, Photography by Big Brother’s Morris Mugisha, Salon by Ambiance Saloon located on Kampala Road and Four Heads at La Bonita one of the best beauty parlours in Uganda’s capital.
Steve and Ritah said they plan to build a stronger family in Uganda. They have invested hugely in the hospitality sector back in the United Kingdom.
This is another high-flying wedding, a head turner, that awesome event organisers Ntambi Remmy and Jimmy Luka, once again put together. Guests left agreeing that this was a “Classy wedding to remember”.
