Celebrated American superstar, Curtis James Jackson, popularly known as 50 Cent is expected to visit the country.

The exciting revelation was on made on Wednesday by Amos Wekesa,a renowned tourism guru also proprietor of Great Lakes Safaris and Uganda Lodges Limited.

In a Facebook Post, Wekesa alleged that 50 Cent is coming to Uganda and he (Wekesa) inquired to know just one of his songs before he arrives.

Wekesa who seemed not to be sure about the exact name of 50 Cent first called the rapper ‘2 Cents’ until one of his followers corrected him.

“So what songs did ‘2 cent’s sing? He is coming to Uganda and I need to know just one song he sang before arrives,” he posted.

The In Da Club singer’s trip comes hot on the heels of the visit by another celebrated American rapper, Kanye West.

The two superstars have been feuding for close to a decade.

In 2007, 50 Cent said he would quit music if Kanye West’s album, ‘Graduation’ outsold his, Curtis. The albums were released on the same day.

“50 Cent? 2 Chains? 2 Face?Kubanga 2 Cents is a new one, at least to me,” A one Rowena Nahurira wondered

In response, Wekesa clarified, “It’s that 50 Cent fellow. Am learning about what he sang,” Adding, “Somebody in Uganda is working on his trip to Uganda.

It should be noted, however, that there is a metal band from Malibu, California called 2 Cents.

About 50 Cent;

Curtis Jackson, known as 50 Cent, is a hip hop artist and businessman who became famous for his streetwise raps and rags-to-riches life story.

After an early life of crime, drugs and violence, he turned to rap, rocketing to stardom with the album ‘Get Rich or Die Tryin” in 2003.

One of the leading figures in early 21st-century “gangsta” rap, with side projects including the hip hop group G-Unit, investments in soda water companies and video games, 50 Cent has since branched out to become an actor and businessman. His career has been littered with feuds with other rappers, arrests and legal and financial difficulties, while his recent recording output has been sporadic.
