Anti-corruption court has ordered former works Minister Abraham Byandala to defend himself against allegations of causing government a loss in shoddy works on Mukono-Katosi road.
Justice Lawrence Gidudu has ordered Byandala and six others to defend themselves for disobeying lawful orders by the IGG and signed the Kyetume – Katosi road contract that caused a shs2.7 billion loss to government.
Justice Gidudu said that it is evident that the group had hidden motives to sign a contract that authorized government to pay the said money to EUTAW, a nonexistent company.
