Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) captain Captain Denis Okot is a man who never minces his words.

He defender on Tuesday morning said he believes KCCA FC will be a better side in the 2017/2018 Azam Uganda Premier League.

“We are the defending the champions and everyone is targeting us, if we are to win the league again, we shall have to do it in style.

The skipper said this hours to the league opener against Maroons at the StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo.

“We need to be tactically better than we were last season, defensively disciplined because we linked so many goals in the league despite the fact that we scored the most also.

KCCA FC conceded 25 goals and scored 59, more than any other club in the 2016/2017 season.

The 12 time champions scored 40 goals at home and conceded just 12, as they won 13 of their home games, drawing and losing once against URA (2-2) and Vipers (1-2) respectively.

A fact that many have not really paid attention too, KCCA FC had the best away form, winning seven, drawing five and losing just thrice, scoring 19 times and letting in just 13 goals.

That form will have to improve this season if the league title is to remain at Lugogo for a third straight season.
