Fallen singer Philly Lutaaya’s body exhumed as family member sells burial land

Fallen singer Philly Bongoley Lutaaya’s body has been exhumed from Bunamwaya and re-burried in Gomba.

Sources say one money hungry family member sold off the land in Bunamwaya Wakiso district where Philly Bongoley Lutaaya’s body was laid to rest in Dec 1989.

The new developer who was equally anxious to develop the now prime land, exhumed all the bodies from the land and relatives relocated them to Gomba.

Philly Bongoley Lutaaya was born on 19 October 1951 and died on 15th December 1989 at 38. His music is still the most famous Christmas music Uganda has ever had. I wonder who receives his royalties from Uganda Perfoming Right Society which collects money from music rights.
