The Parliamentary Committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises (COSASE) chaired by Abdu Katuntu has given the Auditor General, John Muwanga up to 6th March to produce an audit report on Ministry of Energy oil revenue receipts.
While appearing before, the committee today on Wednesday, Ministry of Energy officials were instructed to get ready for auditors who are going to audit the receipts at the Ministry’s headquarters.
“The auditors are coming in tomorrow and please cooperate with them,” Katuntu to Energy officials.
The committee has resolved to audit the oil receipts following conflicting figures oil revenue receipts submitted by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development.
