The Kampala capital city authority has distanced its self from eviction of the park yard vendors which remains sealed off.

Over 10,000 vendors were today left stranded after police and men in casual wear stormed the place and sealed off after an eviction directive from Minister for Kampala, Beti Kamya which was issues on 20th of February giving vendors ultimatum of 30days to vacate.

According to KFM, during a crisis council meeting today, City lord mayor, Erias Lukwago said the authority also doesn’t know who is leading the operations asserting that when he approached the head of authority enforcement team they said they do not have a hand in it.

Meanwhile, the Executive director of KCCA Jennifer Musisi also says she is not aware about the eviction distancing herself from the mess.
