The entire leadership in Uganda inclusive of political, technical and the citizenry at large is encouraged to be at the forefront of promoting efficient and impactful implementation of government projects and programs.
Monitoring is the formal reporting and evidencing that projects/ programs and outcomes are successfully delivered and milestones met. Projects and programs are monitored so as to assess the stakeholders’ understanding of the activity proceedings, minimise the risk of project failure, promote systematic and professional management & assess progress in implementation.
It assists in project delivery through, deeper understanding of progress and enabling early detection on any anomalies for improvements leading to successful projects and programs further it provides a way to assess the crucial link between implementers and beneficiaries on the ground and decision-makers thus achieving a combined national development.
By monitoring and evaluating policies, programmes and projects, the stakeholders aim at ensuring that service delivery is achieved, funds are effectively utilised and this also results in improved performance, more accountability and better and informed decision-making across all spheres of government.
With a high blend of both strategic political and technical leadership across the country including Ministers, MP’s, CAO’s,DPC’s, RDC’s, DISO’s, Anti-corruption agencies and all grassroot monitors up to the LC1 Chairpersons, Uganda is poised to attain the 1st world class status, let us all continue embracing the already existing spirit of national development by coordinating as a team.
