GEORGE MUBIRU: Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba is the pillar of a pro-social moral Uganda after Museveni; Bobi Wine is a joker

When we acknowledge and appreciate the benefits of a society with a blend of African traditional values bonded with civilized life copied from imperialists, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba fits the shoes to carry on from his father. Remember, African states are fumbling to balance the two ways of living.

It requires a very strong crusader against the intended massive destruction of our rich culture by the imperialists as well as merging it with the harmless and acceptable western norms to come out with a new hybrid culture. If you remember in “The River Between”, Waiyaki, the main character failed to balance African and Western values and in the end he was seen as a traitor by the community. Therefore, in comparison, MK represents the community and Bobi Wine is the Waiyaki who took the path of the whites.

The public is inspired by Gen . MK to give back to society by adding value in meaningful ways.  It is with a sense of gratitude that prosocial moral agents feel obligated to honor the “social contract” for him to become our next president. Gen. MK has a mutually-supportive and reciprocally beneficial social arrangement that seeks to maximize human potential, thereby ensuring society to thrive.

Given that Uganda’s youthful population presents a significant opportunity for our country’s planning for the future, it needs a very assertive leader like MK. With a large proportion of young people, he has the art to prioritize their needs and involve multiple stakeholders in the planning process to achieve our national goals.

Gen. MK is undoubtedly one of the most committed leaders exhibited by his lifelong journey in the Ugandan military. He has the trait of self-discovery and improvement which seeks meaning and purposeful  devotion to causes greater than oneself.

He is confident that our remaining needs will be met, given that now Museven has secured our future and we have no fear of an uncertainity, MK is expected to earnestly turn our attention to strengthening and improving the built sectors like infrastructure.

He will help us to consolidate and achieve the same level of well-being and security with other developed countries. This requires a delicate balance between loyalty to self and others which can be achieved with dedication to a higher purpose and practice over time.

As a prosocial practitioner, MK’s conscience and pure intentions is a sincere effort required in serving Uganda. He is an inspiration to majority of the people especially the youths. His moral integrity encompasses the unwavering application of intellectual honesty, emotional intelligence and critical thinking in a quest for truthful knowledge that leads to moral wisdom required in driving our country to the next level. This explains his strong cause against corruption. When he takes over power, the corrupt will have to look for another country to live in.

He is emotionally intelligent and intellectually honest. He is a critical thinker who seeks for objective truths in pursuit of moral wisdom.  These traits helps him in  decision-making, where finding solutions to social problems by weighing all alternative courses of action leads to optimal prosocial outcomes.

His Moral wisdom leverages the most current accumulated knowledge that will help to guide our moral behaviors. He has a broad framework that integrates all relevant disciplines to better understand what it means for humans and society to flourish, while acknowledging that human understanding is fallible and can always be improved. Indeed, he is the right person to build on Museven’s legacy.

Above all, MK acts nobly in the face of conventional wisdom especially to some disrespective opposition activits who shamelessly attack him. He is a leader who values man kind. He is  true to purpose and steadfast on fundamental principles in order to do the right thing.  It is this unrelenting devotion that sets him apart from typical NUP opportunists whose petty, mediocre and cowardly pursuits serve only themselves.
