ADAM KAMULEGEYA: Why Ugandans want to Migrate to Canada!

Friends, isn’t politics boring? I think it does except for the fact that everything we do, no matter how obscure, it has politics wrapped on it.

If you have been following me, you might have realised by now that I write about issues I have a thorough grasp of. In other words; I don’t write about rumours or hearsay but facts.

Therefore our conversation of today will center around an informed opinion of immigration in general and particularly a country called Canada. I have visited many countries and lived in Canada for several years so my opinion matters.

Canada has few facts unique to it you must know from the outset:

– It is the second biggest country in the world with only 39 million people
– It is one of the richest countries on earth where social welfare budgets runs in several billions of dollars
– It has one of the most liberal immigration systems on earth and a democratic political system second to none
– It needs people to fill it’s vast land area but it wants quality people
– You can’t be classified as ‘educated’ until you get Canadian education (they disguisedly call it ‘Canadian Experience’)
– Most Canadians came from other continents therefore it is a true land of immigrants.

With that simple introduction, now you can fill in your temporary residence application to migrate to Canada. But first hold on to that thought (application) because there are issues, stringent requirements, you must fulfil first.

Essentially migration is a by-product of ‘push’ and ‘pull’ factors. People migrate for various reasons except that we, Africans, simply run away from uncaring governments.

Africans are never economic migrants per se because, inwardly, we’re creatures of modest means. If an African can have shelter and food, things like TVs, motor cars, fridges, cookers means absolutely nothing.

Most Africans are forced to leave the continent because of governments and their leaders who have no idea what they’re supposed to do for the people.

Since time and memorial, many Ugandans have found solace in foreign lands not because their country cannot afford a decent living for them, but because of unstable governments.

Look at the millions of Congolese and Sudanese now living in Uganda. Are they really looking for prosperity here? No Sir! These are innocent people caught in the madness of senseless leaders.

This madness; countries like Canada, The United States and others must be constantly aware of you.

Recently, many Ugandans have left for Canada majority of them running away because are homosexuals. This is a fact not an opinion because, somehow, human nature is changing perhaps because of the many unnatural foods we eat?

I know this is a conversation most Ugandans fear, but someone has to talk about it. And I have been consistent often wondering why we had to pass that “Anti-Homosexuality Bill” and President Museveni signed it into law!

The last African leader and country to mess with homosexuality was Robert Mugabe and Zimbabwe. By the time white people were done with him, Zimbabwe remained an unrecognised country. It is now a miserable wreck where nearly 70% of its educated people left and now are living as farm labourers in South Africa.

I have always told my friends that some people are not supposed to get closer to power. One myopic male or female can condemn an entire people into obscurity.

The other group running to Canada are the supposedly National Unity Platform (NUP) sympathisers. These are fellows who have fallen out with the state because of their political affiliations. When I was in Canada, Ugandan refugees were members of Federal Democratic Alliance (FDC) of Dr. Kizza Besigye.

I hear someone whispering that these are not ‘genuine’ refugees. May be they’re not. But what are the political considerations on the ground? Are people not being jailed to lengthy sentences for being gay? How about the unending disappearances and police brutality?

Canadians also read newspapers and with social media; when a one Musana is killed at Nalufenya, Canadians can know about it before we do here.

Therefore, as long as Africa continues to have unserious leaders and criminal police systems, our people will continue to runaway and be welcome into white people’s countries.

Besides, we are hard-working and are immensely needed by the receiving countries. They need our labour and are comfortable with our natural submissiveness.

Our governments continues to hound us out of here such that they can ‘eat’ without anyone making noise. This is a well known fact which Canadian immigration is aware of.

MAKING THAT APPLICATION:

Friends, don’t go to that Canadian embassy near you and tell them about your being persecuted. In the many application forms you will fill in, you won’t find a section asking you whether you need protection in Canada.

Basically Canadian immigration (IRCC) knows your intentions the moment you go on that portal and you fill in your name. Through experience, they know that nearly 80% of Africans, or Ugandans for that matter, who gets a chance to ‘visit’ Canada, they overstay their visas or claim for asylum.

Nevertheless, applying for a Canadian, British, American indeed any visa to white people’s countries is a daunting task.

First you don’t satisfy the requirements for that visa. If you’re highly qualified, which I doubt with Ugandans, then you have an easy path to Canada or America. We have disgraced our system through Nasser Road qualifications that even a genuine degree appears fake.

Therefore the only avenue left is to apply either as a student (same issue of fake papers), a visitor or tourist.

The problem here is that you have to be invited either by a credible friend; getting an invitation to a conference or pay for a tourist package.

Having an invitation is only 10% of your requirements.

White people, though they might need you as cheap labour, they require you to fulfill all their visa requirements. These include among others:

– A steady job which will eventually show that you’re employable. The subset here is a bank statement with a sizeable amount in it (Nasser Road ones have resulted into nearly 90% failures of visa applications)

– Then they require family ties like being married and children. You must have a house (fake titles don’t work) and at least a car logbook

– If you evaluate your academic papers through WES and you seat for an English evaluation (SAT, GMAT, IELTS, GRE, etc) then your chances are increased. It doesn’t matter whether you’re requesting for a visiting visa.

Don’t fool yourself even for a second. White people know that nearly 80% of ‘visitors’ to their countries end up changing their initial reasons to visit. And it’s okay by them because they need cheap labour and free highly trained people.

I must make it absolutely clear that no company or organisation can influence the government of Canada to issue visas. A so-called ‘Diplomatic Note’ doesn’t hold any water provided it is issued in Uganda.

There is no company allowed by Canada to export labour to their country. Therefore all claims on radio and TVs are bogus. White people’s countries don’t handle labour migration like Arabs do!

REFUSAL OF VISAS:

It is without doubt that most white people’s countries have declining population numbers. Basically more people are dying than young ones are born. Therefore they need people to replenish their dwindling numbers.

But make no mistake that these countries will open their doors ajar to let in whoever can afford an air ticket. No Sir!

A visa can be denied, refused, cancelled, or given a ban.

Before you make that application to Canada weigh carefully your options otherwise you can get a ban of 5 or even 10 years.

THE SPOILERS:

Actually my original intentions for this article was to educate those Ugandans who recently went to Canada and are now spoiling for everyone else.

We saw them at Father Jumba’s Toronto Dominion Church picketing and abusing the Canadian system. Who invited them to Canada? Did they say in their applications that they were going to stay in Canada and seek for asylum?

Why then make noise as if someone wrote a letter to you to go and live in Canada?

Currently Canada is reducing the number of visas it issues to Ugandans because of our “butamanya- ignorance!”

Ugandans are really a tiny contributor to Canadian annual immigration numbers but have earned themselves a name of being noise makers. If Ugandans are not found picketing about NRM and all that political activism, then you see them on Tiktok talking nonsense.

There are people who are genuine refugees from really troubled countries but you don’t find them manhandling their government officials who visit Canada.

Canada, as I told you before, has a well-oiled immigration and refugee system an idiotic Ugandan cannot influence. Just follow the rules quietly then everything will be alright.

I really don’t know why those lazy idiots went to Canada. In a way they had believed that they were going to heaven. But Canada is a country where hard work pays. It may be a stinking rich country, but don’t expect free lunches. You either roll your sleeves like everyone else or end up being spewed by the system.

The noise makers (who failed to soil Arabian countries) are now busy trying to spoil for everyone from Uganda who wanted to go to Canada.

I don’t want to say much but those idiots are forcing Canada to reject visitors from Uganda. And yet we were a well-behaved society where we hardly committed any crimes in Canada.

BY WAY OF CONCLUSION:

Recently our Parliament pushed through the most draconian law on homosexuality. In Uganda, you can easily get killed or get jailed for years for identifying yourself as gay. And yet many people here are already practising that gay thing!

The other issue pushing Ugandans out of here is the economic situation. We all agree that there are no jobs here and money which would have created those jobs is wasted through bribery and institutionalized corruption.

No matter the shame or insurmountable hardships in foreign lands, especially in Arabian countries, our people will go there.

Then our horrible human rights record. As long as there is no difference between the reason that forced Mr. Museveni and others to go into exile or to the Luweero bush, Ugandans will continue to seek protection elsewhere.

You can make a shot to that Canadian visa because staying here is almost useless. The other day I heard First Daughter Natasha Museveni (was it Patience Rwabogo?) wondering why Ugandans are migrating to foreign countries.

Like the rest of her siblings, Natasha grew up in Sweden therefore she understands fully why her parents made that choice in the first place.

For those Ugandans making the hitherto expensive choice to migrate, just know that your chances of getting that visa are very slim indeed. They even equal to ‘zero’ the moment you pay your money to a bogus agent.

But once given that visa, just know that you are simply being harboured. Canada or any other country which accepts you, will never become your mother country!

LAST WORD: “A foreigner is a friend I have yet to meet!”

– Pearl S. Buck
