Fort Portal Tourism City Resident City Commissioner Godwin Kasigwa Angalia & and his Deputy of Fort Portal North Division Allan Bamuha have tasked Christians to holistically embrace government programs.
In his Easter Message to Christian at St.Stephens Church of Uganda Karambi Fort Portal City North Division, Angalia urged believers to take all government programs as a first priority. He asked them to embrace the industrial hubs in Tooro for proper skilling of the children in the Sub region.
On his part, Bamuha called for transparency especially to those intending and those who are already beneficiaries in the various government programs. He also called for peace and neighborhood watch amongst the Wanainchi.
Fort portal City has celebrated Easter season calmly, with a sunny day and has registered increased tour guests who are visiting the various tourist attractions dotted around including the Crater lakes and others Cultural sites.
Easter, also called “Pascha” or Resurrection Sunday, is a Christian festival and cultural holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. It is described in the New Testament as having occurred on the third day of his burial following his crucifixion by the Romans at Calvary.
