In his address to the Muslim fraternity during Juma prayers from Hoima City main mosque on Friday, the Hoima Resident City Commissioner Badru Mugabi urged the believers to embrace government programs in order to enhance their household income which in turn will help them eradicate poverty in their communities.

Mr Mugabi reminded them about Emyooga and the Parish Development Model among other programs where government has invested huge sums of money to improve household incomes and livelihoods of Ugandans.

The RCC confirmed to the Muslim community about the fulfillment of the presidential pledge of tarmacing all acces roads to headquarters of the three main religious denominations (Muslims, Anglicans and Roman Catholics).

Presently, all access roads to the headquarters of religious sects in Hoima city are being tarmacked.

Mr. Mugabi also urged the Muslim to continue living as peaceful as they are during the ongoing holy month of Ramadhan even beyond the season.

The Hoima District Khadhi Sheikh Musa Babanja welcomed the RCC to hoima city and hailed HE the President Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for sending Badru Mugabi to Hoima City, a place he understands very well. He pledged unrelenting support to the office of RCC and pledged to mobilize Muslims to equally benefit from national cake through the available government programs.
