The former mayor for Rubaga division Joyce Nabossa Ssebugwawo has told off her haters to let her serve Ugandans before she officially retires from politics.

Speaking to journalists after her vetting as State Minister of ICT and National Guidance on Thursday, the former Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Vice president said that people who are criticizing her for accepting the ministerial post must know that she is using her last chance in life and she can’t afford to lose it.

“I’m an old woman who is retiring soon. So being given this chance to continue serving my country just makes me happy,” Ssebugwawo said.

“ I don’t need any future that I would desire to fight for, people should leave me also to put my last brick on this country. I don’t need anything but I have come to serve my country. After here I will retire I don’t need anything.”

She also alluded that although some FDC members did not like her decision to join President Yoweri Museveni which made her to be kicked out of the opposition party, she holds no grudge against them.

“Chasing me from the party is not my problem because that is their policy but I came to serve Ugandans. I have been serving people and that is what I am going to do. Only that here I’m going to be serving a bigger number of people,” she said.
