The Ministry of Energy and Uganda National Bureau of Standards have exposed 75 fuel stations selling impure products in Uganda for the past three months.

The list was released on Wednesday in Kampala.

Rev Frank Tukwasibwe, the commissioner of Petroleum Supply department in the Energy ministry said the 75 pump stations had failed the quarterly fuel marking exercise that distinguishes adulterated fuel from the unadulterated one.

Adulterated fuels are that which are contaminated or whose quality has been weakened by adding inferior quality ones. Adulteration of fuels mainly involves adding kerosene or diesel to petrol.
