Photos of Joshua, Merina who were shot dead along Entebbe Expressway emerge

Merina Tumukunde and Nteyireho Rushegyera Joshua were shot dead at Nambigirwa Bridge along Kampala-Entebbe Express Highway in Katabi town council Wakiso District on Thursday night.

According to Uganda Police’s Preliminary report released on Friday morning, one AK-47 riffle No.UG POL56-3100699022697 with 27 rounds of live ammunition was recovered at the scene.

It was also established that motor vehicle reg no.UAW 543B Prado TX black in colour was found well positioned/parked aside the road at Nambigirwa bridge while the engine was still hydrauling with lights on while facing the direction of Mpala(Kampala-Entebbe road) with co-drivers door open.

“In the motor vehicle a body of a one Merina Tumukunde was found in seating position in the behind seat of the co driver with a bullet wounded on the head . Outside the motor vehicle at rare was a body of Nteyireho Rushegyera Joshua which was lying in a pool of blood with bullet wound on the head while the left hand holding an AK-47 smg riffle,” a police statement partly reads.

Rushegyera is a son to the late Eliazari Rushegyera of Rwenjeru in Bushenyi /Ishaka Municipality with another home in Kashari, Mbarara District.
