The beauty from Mayuge district is currently an inspiration to many young girls after proving that everything is possible if you believe in yourself.

With little support from government and different stakeholders, Abenakyo stormed Sanya, China for the Miss World pageant and made it to the top 30, then five contestants before losing the crown to Miss Mexico Vanessa Ponce. However, she was named the most beautiful woman in Africa, the first Miss in Uganda to wear the crown.

Before her graduation, Junior tourism minister Godfrey Kiwanda named Abenakyo as the Tourism Good Will Ambassador.
