Police at Isimba has recovered an ambulance that was stolen by its driver.

The Land Cruiser ambulance reg. no UAW 984Z belongs to China International Water and Electric Company (CEC) one of the companies constructing the Isimba dam.

It is alleged that the driver convinced his bosses that he was taking the ambulance to the washing bay, the he would later drive it out and handed it to someone who crossed with it using a ferry in Kamuli.

After sometime the contractors became suspicious and reported the matter to police that mounted roadblocks and it was later impounded in Iganga.

Apparently police is holding a one Kagodda Musa to help them in investigations while the driver is still at large.
