We all know that Bobi Wine’s Kyarenga Concert due October 20 at Namboole Stadium lies in balance.

In a post on his social media page Bobi Wine accuses the Uganda Police of ‘sabotaging’ the concert.

“We have done everything required of us by law but it is apparent that the people in authority are doing everything possible to frustrate the concert. As things stand, the concert has been left in balance. A lot of money and time have been spent in advertisements and preparations,” he says.

The musician turn politician and biggest President Museveni critic says his team made the necessary payments to Namboole Stadium Management in time. In fact they had booked October 13, but were informed to change the date since Uganda Cranes was due to face Lesotho Crocodiles in an Afcon qualifier.

“We then agreed with Namboole Management and rescheduled our concert for the October 20. We then started advertising,” he posted

Bobi Wine states that after all the advertisements and bookings they have made, he was surprised to see a letter on social media addressed to his team from Namboole saying that October 20 was also booked for a wedding.

“We requested a copy of this letter to see if it’s legitimate but the Namboole Stadium management has refused to give it to us,” he states.

“Dear fans and friends, I am not sure when or whether the Kyarenga Concert will happen.”

Early this month Police warned Robert Kyagulanyi not to show up at Namboole.

According to Police spokesperson Emilian Kayima, they won’t allow Hon Kyagulanyi to go to Namboole but shall only allow Bobi Wine to make perform.

“We have no problem with Bobi Wine organising his Kyarenga concert at Namboole because that is his job but Hon Kyagulanyi the MP should not be there,” Kayima said then.
