Former Premier Amama Mbabazi mourns late brother

Amama Mbabazi, the former prime minister of the Uganda on Friday said his late brother, Paul Elijah Bakeebwa was honest, hardworking and caring man.

“The late was very intelligent, faithful, loving and loved his family ” Amama Mbabazi was quoted saying.
Mbabazi said this during a requiem mass of Bakeebwa at St James Kijuguta church of Uganda.
In his eulogy, Mbabazi said the late brother, a former civil servant taught him life values that made him who he is today.
The former premier said his brother was always there for him as family despite of their different political affiliations.
“I was NRM but he was UPC – but we were one as a family “Amama said.
The late Elijah Paul Bakeebwa, 81 succumbed to stroke at Nakaseero hospital on Monday.
In her message, Margaret Bakeebwa, his wife, said for 61 years they’ve been married, “Bakeebwa has been an excellent friend”
Bakeebwa’s profile
The late Bakeebwa, 81 was born in Rukiga County, Kabale district in 1937 to the late peresi Nyinakabaka and late can. Kezekia Bagwowaabo.
He studied at kihanga primary school and later to complete his junior secondary school at Kigezi high school. He began work with the colonialsts in 1955 and retired in 1977.
The late is among the founding fathers of the UPC party in Kigezi region.

He leaves a widow, Margaret Bangi Bakeebwa, 12 children, 28 grand children and 7 great grandchildren.
