A muslim cleric identified as Sheikh Sulaiman Sebbowa has reportedly been kidnapped by men in military attires.
Sheikh Sebbowa was kidnapped last night from his Mosque at Masjid Noor Sebina zone in Kalerwe.
It’s alleged that the military men first condoned off the mosque and directed all the people who were in the place to call Sebbowa who was not at the location at that time.
On arrival, the sheikh was clobbered on the head and dragged into a car.
According to Bilal FM, a local radio station, women who were found sleeping in the mosque were directed to undress had their photos taken by the security personnel.
Meanwhile the area vice-chairman Nsanja Ismail has condemned the kidnap which he says is tarnishing the government’s image.
