Former Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party president Dr. Kizza Besigye has said government wanted to Kill Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu alias Bobi Wine in Arua and then they frame him.
He says the shooting of Bobi Wine’s driver Yasin Kawuma on the eve of Arua Municipality by-election was actually an attempted assassination on the legislator.
“In Arua they wanted to kill Kyagulanyi and immediately arrest me for his death,” Besigye told journalists.
The four time presidential candidate made the allegation during a press conference he held on Thursday at his office situated at Katonga Road.
He claimed Besigye that opposition leaders have intelligence that government is plotting to kill political opponents and pin the killings on the opposition.
“Plans to eliminate political opponents have been there all along, but it has always been through subtle means like poisoning. Efforts have been made by the regime to cause actual conflict in the opposition, which would be a launch pad for assassinations,”
