FUFA has confirmed that they will hold a get together of former and current leaders under the FUFA President’s Initiative on 28th August 2018 at Imperial Royale aimed at engaging, sharing ideas and seeking counsel from the elders.

Founded in 1924, FUFA remains the strongest sports body in Uganda and has enjoyed a steady growth with sporting results attained over the period of its existence.

The FUFA Communications Manager Ahmed Hussein highlighted the importance of the reunion between the current Leadership of FUFA and its former leaders.

The rise and excellence of football in Uganda today is mainly attributed to the hard work and commitment exhibited by the leaders of the Federation over the years. The endless efforts and contribution by the former and current leaders towards the development of the game is very valuable’ noted Hussein

‘In light of this, we have come up with the FUFA President’s Initiative to engage, share ideas and seek counsel from the former leaders through a get together session. The FUFA President recognizes the former leaders as key figures in FUFA’s administration and having played a key role in developing the game’ added Hussein a former sports journalist who also witnessed the growth of the game under some of the past leaders.

The Guests and FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo will later be entertained to a CAF Club Champions’ League match between KCCA FC and Tunisian side Esperance later in the day at Mandela National Stadium, Nambole.
