The leader of the opposition Ms Winnie Kiiza @winniekiiza1 has joined the fight against social media tax.
The LoP is joined the team led by MP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Bobi, demanding that government should abandon its plans to stay taxes on mobile money and social media.
Kiiza, also the Woman Mp for Kasese says, the tax limits Ugandans from enjoying opportunities presented with social media.

Cabinet this week decided to remove tax on depositing, and instead tax withdraw. However the cabinet stayed the tax on social media before announcing that in one week the tax body had generated sh7 billion from the collections.
Bobi Wine has been campaigning against social media tax with fellow artists and journalists and he nearly got himself arrested last week.

The government has given away some grounds, revising the 360 degrees taxation on sending and receiving mobile money even before telecom companies deducted their service fees.
