Students tipped on how to choose a better university

Over two hundred Students from various secondary schools have been given a mentoring session to enable them make better choices at the university.

This was organized at Makerere university main hall by the Medical Face International (MFI), a team of medics from Mulago hospital how advised the senior six leavers on how best to manage life after the high school.

The participants were selected from various schools in Uganda including Buddo secondary School, St Augustine SS Zana and many more.

One of the key speakers Mirembe Joy advised the young generation not to get involved into early sex since it has so many negative impacts yet the world is wide.

“Sex is good but when you are old enough. The moment you get involved in it at a tender age, then you have issues” Said Mirembe.

On this note she urged the students to promote preventive health care like not getting involved in bad relationships, avoiding early pregnancies and many more.

The MFI Chief Executive Officer Dr Obrah Tamale during his closing remarks pointed out that many young boys and girls do courses at university when they are not mentored and in the end, they start regretting as to why they did those courses which they feel are not their dream.

“Don’t regret for doing a course, always make enough consultation before choosing a course that you want to do.” Tamale advised.

The training was a one day’s session and according to Tamale, they are still moving around the country to enable the young stars make better choices in life
