Kampala loses for the first time in FUFA Drum

West Nile Province walloped Karamoja Province 5:1 in the 2018 FUFA Drum tournament in Barokoro Ground, Zombo District on Sunday 3^rd June.

Onduparaka’s Wahab Gadafi netted a hat-trick in the 6^th, 40^th and 89^th minutes to hand his Province a big win at home in Zombo. Gadaffi  was also chosen Man of the Match and received his Award and cash prize of 100,000=.

Defender Rashid Toha who plays his club football with Onduparaka  was on the score sheet in 25^thminute before Maroons’ Ivan Wani made it three for the home side in the 27^th Minute.

Raphael Komakech managed to pull one back which turned out to be the consolation for Karamoja Province in the 38^th minute.

With only one round of action remaining, West Nile at 11points in group D have confirmed their place in the knockout stages withba 4 point margin over second placed Tooro with 7 points.

At StarTimes Stadium Lugogo, Kampala Province fell to Bukedi Province 0-2 thanks to Myda FC’s Joseph Owino’s 10^th minute strike and Proline FC’s David Owori goal just after two minutes.

The vibrant performance by Bukedi Province against Kampala sustained their second position in group C with six points only two ahead of third place Bunyoro Province

However, Owori went on to win both the 100th goal for the tournament award and Man of the match Prize, he received Ush.100,000 from FUFA.

102.1 FUFA fm gave gave Owori  100,000= for scoring the 100th Landmark goal of the competition.

In other matches, Tooro Province needed a strike from URA FC’s Nicolas Kagaba in added time of the second half to edge rivals Ankole Province 1-0 at Buhinga Ground in Fort Portal.

Kagaba was also named Man of the Match after his wonderful performance in the match that helped his Tooro Province move to  second place with 7 points.

Rwenzori Province and Bunyoro Province shared the spoils  in a goalless draw at Nyakasanga Ground in Kasese.

The draw keeps both Bunyoro and  Rwenzori in the  3^rd and 4th positions in group D respectively.

Rwenzori’s Karim Ramazan received the Man of the Match prize.
