President Yoweri Museveni yesterday stormed Rukungiri district ahead of the Woman MP by-election slated for Thursday 31st.
The president was campaigning for the NRM Party candidate Winfred Matsiko .
Museveni’s campaign was filled with mostly about criticizing the opposition, mainly Forum for democratic change party.
President Yoweri Museveni said that FDC members are there to fail government projects only, citing that there is nothing that FDC can do that is developmental.
He added that the opposition doesn’t reach him, that only those of NRM can. The opposition doesn’t share on the national cake.
“You voted Rolland Kaginda and Fred Turyamuhwezi in Rukungiri municipality and Rujumbura counties and you’ve benefited. Do not waste your remaining chance, and the only chance is Winnie Matsiko,” Museveni said.
President Yoweri Museveni also NRM leaders of newly created town councils of Buyanja and Kebisoni.
He met large crowds of supporters in sub counties of Nyakishenyi, Nyarushanj, Buyanja and Kebisoni.
He will today campaign in all five sub counties of Rujumbura and end with Rukungiri municipality at Rukungiri main stadium.
He discouraged people from politics of division-ism along the tribe and religion.
He said that countries like Somalia cannot build their own army because before they recruit their armies based on religion and tribe.
