First Lady also Minister of Education and Sports Janet Museveni has ordered the chairman of Education Service Committee (ESC) to finalize the process of appointing a new Makerere University Business School Principal before the contract of the current Principal Prof. Wasswa Balunywa expires to avoid a leadership vacuum at the institution.
In a letter dated 11 April,2018, the minister revealed that Prof. Balunywa’s contract is due to expire on 28 May, 2018, after five years of service.
She informed the ESC chairman that the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary will make a formal submission on the job specifications, duties and age requirement for the post thus advising the commission to advertise the job as soon as they receive a formal submission.
