A week after his colleague was lynched as the run away duo attempted to rob a resident in Kalungu, now the second Masaka Fugitive Musa Galiwango has been shot in Rwashamaire, Ntungamo District of Western Uganda. According to the website bugandanews.com, he was attempting to resist arrest.
Galiwango eluded arrest a week ago as they attacked the home of Resty Nakyambadde of Mukoko, Kalungu district.
His accomplice Mohammad Kiddawalime was killed by a mob on the fateful day but Galiwango had managed to escape.
Kiddawalime and Galiwango were wanted criminals after they were arrested and taken to cover on accusations of killing over 18 people and injuring several in the Masaka sub region during the infamous “bijambiya” attacks.
However the duo escaped from court in Masaka during a press trial session, causing President Museveni to attack the prisons service for negligence. Prisons boss Johnson Byabashaija promised to give sh10 million for anyone who helps to rearrest the two fugitives and following Kiddawalime’s death, he fulfilled the first pledge. Another sh10 million awaits the people who arrestes Galiwango in Ntungamo.
Galiwango is currently in Mbarara hospital undergoing treatment.
