A group of crime preventers has come out to accuse police of stealing their goats.
According to the complainants, Police at Nsambya Kasawe under the command of OC CID on Sunday grabbed five goats from their farm in Katwe Kinyoro.
Apparently, circumstances under which the goats were grabbed are not clear.
After a heated argument between police and crime preventers, the OC CID asked for shs70,000 in order to release the goats.
When the Deputy Coordinator of crime prevention in Kampala Metropolitan area, a one sankara Adam asked why this amount of money was asked from these people, the OC CID had no reasons to give and out of shame he took the goats to Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA).
The goats project was started by former Inspector General of Police Gen Kale Kayihura for the crime preventers who confessed to have converted with intentions of empowering the society economically and security wise.
