The club captain for sport S volleyball club Musubika Patricia has revealed the secret of their victory at the Joan Cox Memorial tournament.
Musubika said that winning this year’s title was a clear indication that the club is set to defend Ndejje open volleyball tournament.
“Joan Cox was a warm up for us to defend Ndejje open” Musubika said.
Sport S managed to give VVC three straight sets on none (3:0) to enable them win this year’s title.
The president the Uganda Volleyball Federation Miss Hadijah Namanda also an Old Girl of Gayaza High School credited the school staff for organizing one of the best tournaments in the history of sports in Uganda.
Namanda said that this is always a good chance for the girls to showcase their talents.
“Sports is a good mean of expressing ones weakness which enables them to improve” said Namanda.
On this note she advised all the participants to keep active in sports which will enable them to explore their heights.
Ndejje managed to win this year’s so sure sanitary pads bronze medals coming after silver medalists VVC.
In Table Tennis, team events, the Gold medal was scooped by St Michael International School followed by Kings College Buddo who managed to win the silver and bronze medalists Gayaza High school
The headmistress of the school Miss Victoria Kisarale thanked all participants for embracing this year’s edition and advised all young blood to keep in sports for good health.
Ndejje open volleyball tournament kicks off tomorrow at Ndejje university sports complex
The tournament was sponsored by So Sure sanitary pads, Sun jelly, Pepsi cola and many more.
