The father of a five-year-old boy, who was kidnapped from Bugiri, was short of words to express his gratitude after receiving news that his son had been rescued by police on Wednesday evening.
It was his worst nightmare knowing that his child was kidnapped and held for ransom – in this case Sh2 million Ugandan Shillings. But Roman Matende aged five, is back home with his parents Yonah Matende & Slyvia Namukose
The young boy was rescued on Wednesday by Flying Squad officers inKampala as three suspects were intercepted moving the boy to different location in Kampala.
His father could not hold back his tears. “We were almost losing hope. The suspects had called and told us our efforts to use social media and mainstream media to find our son were all in vain unless we availed the money asked”, he said.
The suspects have been identified as Faith Kagoya 17yrs, Bernard Mukisa 19 years of Busoowa and Paul Walube 18 from Buwaaba.
