His eminence the Mufti of Uganda Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubajje has today appealed to all associations that have been setting Islamic exams to come back to the education department of Uganda Muslim Supreme Council to enable the production of a uniform and trusted certificates.
In his speech during the release of the Islamic primary leaving examinations of 2017 at UMSC offices in Old Kampala , mufti said it has not been easy to form a uniform examination body for Islamic examinations though they have made it.
“Different associations were set to help in the setting of Islamic exams but we appeal to all of them to come and join the organized Uganda Muslim supreme council education department,” said Sheikh Mubajje.
In the released Islamic primary leaving examinations, the secretary general of the I.P.L.E sheikh ismail kazibwe said over 1035 students registered to do the exams from 61 but only 988 students passed with male students emerging the best the exams,25 failed and 22 missed.
In terms of the performance per district Kampala emerged the best followed by Wakiso,Mbale,Iganga,Mpigi and Koboko.
Meanwhile the chairman of Uganda Muslim Islamic Primary Leaving Examinations sheikh Amiri katudde appealed to all Islamic schools across the country to join the positive cause of the Islamic exams to help the Muslim children get uniform certificates.
He also thanked the schools which adopted the organization immediately after it was set up and thanked the pupils for doing well in the released exams.
