Makindye based Court Martial has on Monday afternoon denied the bail application by nine people including five senior police commanders.
The bail applicants who include former commander police Special Operations Unit, Senior Superintendent of Police Nixon Agasirwe, Senior Commissioner of Police Joel Aguma(Commandant of Professional Standard Unit) Sgt Abel Tumukunde ( Flying Squad) James Magada (Crime Intelligence), Faisal Katende(Flying Squad),Amon Kwarisima,Rene Rutangira(Rwandese) and Bahati Mugenga(Congolese) are being accused of kidnapping before repatriating Lt.Joel Mutabazi, a former bodyguard to Rwandan president Paul Kagame to Rwanda in 2013 as well as illegal possessions of guns and extortion, among others.
Prosecution rejected the bail application on grounds that they were served late, so they need time to first study the application not later than December 18th.
