Democratic party president Norbert Mao has blamed water state minister for the humiliation of former Buikwe south MP Dr Lulume Bayiga.

Mao says Bayiga mobilized people to defy Kibuule who had wanted to displace people from their land which the water minister claims as his. The DP boss says Kibuule was using police to do his bidding.

Hill Water

Dr Bayiga was singled out by police and arrested during a medical camp in Buikwe sponsored by Rotary club. The camp was treating the elderly in Buikwe and Lulume had been invited as one of the doctors.

Police say Lulume was arrested for organizing a medical camp illegally. Now the former MP is hospitalized at the Naguru police hospital after he complained about a possible injury on his back.

Bayiga says the officers tore his trousers and almost undressed him before hundreds of people.
