State Minister for Finance Gabriel Ajedra Aridu told his voters in Arivu Vurra on Friday that if the constitution isn’t amended to allow President Yoweri Museveni rule beyond 75 years of age, he will leave cabinet.
The minister made the promise during his during his consultation meeting in the constituency.
He urged all his constituents to overwhelmingly support the removal of age limit or he will resign from his ministerial position.
The proposed age limit amendment aims at scraping the age limit cap from the constitution which will enable people below 35 years and above 75 years of age stand for president.
