Students of Makerere University, specifically from the College of Business and Management Sciences (COBAMS) were yesterday challenged to have great love for what they do, if they are to ensure success in their entrepreneurial projects.

This was told to them by Major General Charles Angina, who is the deputy coordinator of the Operation Wealth Creation in Uganda. He represented General Salim Saleh as a guest of honor during the Students Exposition Ceremony that took place yesterday October 27th, 2017at the freedom square, Makerere University.

“I have never seen any successful person who has no passion for what they do”, asserted Angina, while addressing the Makerere fraternity.

He reiterated the need for great passion, if one is to become successful in their respective activities, underscoring the urgency to be consistent and produce products which meet the credentials of the Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS), which can be sold on the international market.

Most importantly, he revealed the government’s commitment to support innovations and creativity at the University, through the establishment of the entrepreneurship center, which he said will be effected soon.

He emphasized the need for one to be peculiar in order to be able to establish, run and sustain their commercial dealings.

The exposition, whose theme was “MAK has talent” was organized by the facilitators of the entrepreneurship principles at COBAMS in order to enhance learning and application of knowledge; and so, to create a business mindset among students.

Students pursuing various business courses demonstrated and exhibited many unique products, including the conical shaped candles, jack fruit jam, among others.

These products demonstrated the students’ creative prowess and were presented using the table display method, from which people monitored, viewed and purchased.
